OUR METHOD

Royal feeding
without stories

We couldn't do something that doesn't comply with what we stand for.

We do the right feeding, the real feeding.

WE COULD NOT DO SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH WHAT WE STAND FOR.
WE DO THE RIGHT FOOD, THE REAL FOOD.

As true experts in animal nutrition, we not only offer all the information you need to make good decisions about your pet's diet to ensure you are giving them what they really need, but we also make our own recipes.

Our products are built on what we know works and we build on that.

All our feeds comply with our REAL FEEDING GUIDELINES.

The nutritionally appropriate

There is much talk about the benefits of an ideal diet, referring to the different types of diets; but what is really important is that, regardless of the type of diet used, the diet is true and nutritionally appropriate.

At ERA, our recipes are formulated to meet all the nutritional needs of puppies, adult dogs and cats, taking into account the characteristics of each animal. We do not offer generic foods under the name “for all breeds” or “for all life stages”.

Transparency in recipes

Some people give their opinions and tell us about the benefits of certain recipes, but in many cases we find definitions of ingredients without percentages and little transparency regarding the origin of their sources. At ERA we understand the importance of providing our customers with maximum clarity in the information of our recipes. That is why we always offer transparent recipes in which the main ingredients are clearly defined both in their origin and in their percentage.

High palatability

They say that the best way to achieve high palatability (food acceptance) is to choose unprocessed or moist foods.
However, the truth is that, in this sense, your pet always has the last word.

At ERA, we take the high palatability of our recipes very seriously. That is why we incorporate high-quality, natural ingredients, large amounts of fresh meat and high-end natural flavourings, all using optimal production and packaging methods.

High digestibility

High digestibility is said to be directly related to compact and well-defined stools.
The reality is that it's not just the appearance of your stool that counts.

ERA recipes provide high digestibility because we make sure to use high-quality animal ingredients (not flours and by-products), adequate proportions of proteins, fats, fiber, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, not using artificial additives and adding prebiotics and probiotics to improve your pet's digestive health.

Natural ingredients

They say that it is interesting to feed our pets with 100% natural and unprocessed ingredients. And the truth is that there is no reason to disagree, as long as we can guarantee that the recipes are nutritionally appropriate.
The other reality is that processed foods with multiple advantages and very high nutritional quality can be obtained from natural ingredients.

At ERA, we offer recipes that include natural ingredients in their preparation, without adding artificial additives or preservatives. An excellent option to provide your pet with safe and healthy nutrition.

High content of ingredients of animal origin

Some people say that dogs should be fed like wolves, as strict carnivores, with an ancestral diet based almost exclusively on meat. In reality, dogs should not be considered strict carnivores, but it is very important that the contribution of ingredients of animal origin in their diet is above the sum of the rest of the ingredients. Cats, on the other hand, should be considered strict carnivores and the percentages should be even higher.

At ERA, this is a matter that we are very clear about. Dog recipes contain between 60% and 65% ingredients of animal origin, while cat recipes contain between 70% and 75%.

Proteins of high biological value

We are told that recipes with a high amount of protein are the most suitable.
In fact, the quality and origin of proteins are even more important than the quantity.

At ERA, we always incorporate high biological value animal proteins into our recipes. We use fresh chicken, turkey, duck or salmon meat as the first ingredient, and in obtaining dehydrated poultry proteins, we do not use by-products such as feathers, heads or claws.

Slow-assimilation carbohydrates for energy

We are told that recipes with a high amount of protein are the most suitable.
In fact, the quality and origin of proteins are even more important than the quantity.

Functional ingredients

Many people believe that the quantity of ingredients in a recipe is synonymous with good, premium brand, but quantity is not always indicative of quality.
The inclusion of ingredients in premium recipes should depend on their functionality.

At ERA, we carefully select functional ingredients (OptiImmuno + Plus) that have been proven to provide health benefits for pets, and we do so in a completely transparent manner. These ingredients can help improve the functioning of the body, lead a healthier lifestyle and increase the life expectancy of pets.

Fresh meat as the first ingredient

It is said that the inclusion of fresh meat in dog and cat food contributes little, since the percentages indicated correspond to the ingredient before its preparation.
It is true that after processing the percentage will be lower, but the final result will always depend on the amount used previously.

At ERA, fresh meat is considered an essential ingredient due to its high biological value and its contribution to naturally improving the flavour of food. For this reason, we use large amounts of fresh meat, always as the main ingredient and with the highest percentage in our recipes.

Dehydrated proteins

There is often talk about the low quality of animal-derived ingredients referred to as dehydrated proteins.
However, as in other cases, quality depends on the origin of the animal sources used to obtain it.

At ERA, the dehydrated proteins used in our recipes are an excellent source of high-quality protein. No low-quality nutritional by-products such as feathers, heads or claws are used to obtain them. Instead, we use high-quality animal proteins to ensure complete and balanced nutrition for your pet.

Method of preparation

They say that dry food in the form of kibble is not appropriate for our pets, but the reality is that each method of preparation or type of diet has its advantages and disadvantages.
What really matters is that the diet or production process chosen is of quality and suitable to meet the nutritional needs of each animal.

At ERA, our kibble foods are made using a process called extrusion, which allows us to offer nutritionally appropriate, safe, highly digestible, appetizing, functional, complete, balanced and healthy food.

The least nutritionally appropriate

We often hear about the benefits of certain ingredients.
However, it is important to recognize that the benefits may be offset by their negative effects or low nutritional value.

That is why at ERA we avoid ingredients that are common sources of food allergies and intolerances, such as wheat, barley, rye and soy. In addition, our products do not contain animal by-products, cereals with low nutritional value and digestibility, such as corn, and they do not contain artificial additives or preservatives.

Choose foods based on the correct feeding guidelines. Look for clear, transparent information on labels, detailing their formulas, the origin of their ingredients and the percentages.
